Lol. Had an early Easter with my parents. Everyone was there except my Grandma :(. Let the kids have some trust, they went down to the river alone, with instructions don't go past the bridge I trust you... And they didn't test at all, they played so nice and never tried to go too far and push the limits. It was quite a proud moment for me. They had a fun egg hunt with cousins. Overall a good day!
Dinner, only splurge was a roll! Been doing lots of juicing still. currently have lots of pineapple to use... Pineapple and kale sounds delicious to me...
Struggling still with the evening eating. I just feel so hungry! But I just need to stick to it, I'll get there.
At some point, my husband and I ended up looking in an old photo album, reveling in the hippy glory of my parents wedding, lol. pics of my mom with the flowers around her head all mother earth like, and my beaming dad, so happy to have wrangled such a vivavious young lady... And me running around here and there all wild child like... it was cute. Memories are powerful, and I can't wait to make many more for my children to look back on.

Over a year later!
Well folks, I got down to 135... Then gained back 10 lbs so i'm at 145 now. Still awesome! And I begin again, getting rid of 20 lbs this time! 135 I was happy at... Then I lost control with my evening snacks! So if I get a little under where i'm comfy, it's insurance :)
It will be easy to start exercising now as it's warming up outside, I am sooooo ready for summer time! I plan on running a 5k this summer as a tangible thing to motivate me to keep on track getting fit! A long journey this is, but so worth it!

Menu for Today
1 egg, scrambled in 1.5 tsp butter
1 slice american cheese
2 pieces bacon
1 cup of coffee
1.5 oz heavy cream
3 packets xylitol sweetener (brand name is 'Ideal')
A Carb-free Rock Star Energy Drink!
and some water
Lunch:
1 medium chicken breast, bone in, braised with 1 T bacon grease
1 Tbsp seasoning (paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, parsley, salt, liquid smoke)
1 cup of red cabbage which has been simmered in some beef broth, vinegar, cloves, little sugar
Some water
Update: I didn't get to eat my chicken yet :( ... one thing about this way of eating, is that if you stick to it for the first week (the rough time) you start not feeling hunger. Fats and proteins have a high satiety factor. Meaning smaller amounts, make you feel fuller faster. I have been making myself eat. I also take a multivitmain on dyas when I just can't eat...
Dinner:
3-4 oz Venison steak ( my dad is a hunter :)), pan seared with 2 tsp olive oil
7 Sweet potato fries (baked from frozen)
1/4 cup corn
1 Tbsp butter
1/2 cup almond milk with a sprinkle of vanilla extract
water
Snacks:
2.5 oz of Tuna, drained
1.5 Tbsp regular, full fat mayonnaise
dash salt and pepper, 1/4 teaspoon celery seed
2 cups lettuce
diet green tea
1 oz bag of BBQ pork rinds.
Calorie/Nutrition Data will be added at the end of the day, just to make sure if I adjust something it stays accurate!! And Pics added as I go :)

So I was a little light on the fat calories, wanted to hiy 60-70 % and got 57%. Hit under 50 grams of carbs, and right on with the protein, I should be getting about 100 grams (formula is about .8 grams protein per pound of muscle mass, not your total weight... subtract some for the fat weight :))
Below is the break down nutritionally. I got over 100%RDA for many, under for some, but I am finding any I don't get enough of one day I will get the next day. The only pattern I am seeing is lack of potassium and Magnesium/manganese. I am going shopping tonight and will be picking up things like avocados and spinach as they should help :)

Me today, at 155 lbs :)
The beginning, a little late...
I decided to do this blog, as an after thought. I found myself googling looking for other people's success stories with weight loss, and was not finding the details I was curious about! I figured this would be the perfect motivation. I am looking forward to sharing my next 3 months with you!!
I began on January 3rd, and I have until March 30th. I had been stuck at the 160-165 mark forever, lol, well since I had my son and my daughter. I went up to about 205 with each of them, by the end of each pregnancy. Just in these last few weeks, I have seen a drop of 10 pounds, and I am about 155 lbs right now. That 10 pounds, was the motivation I needed to realize I can do this, and I am going to do it!
Just so happens, that a few people at work (you know, resolutioners I bet :)) are trying to lose weight and get in shape, so we are having a 'biggest loser competition' at work. We each put in 5 bucks, and it ends March 30th. We will be having monthly weigh ins, and the pot is $45.
I am focusing on diet AND exercise, I do have some back and hip problems so I cannot do too much exercise! I have sciatica, and meralgia parestethica, and some arthritis in there too. But I am hoping losing this weight may help me with my pain problems too. So my plan is I am using a ketogenic diet, and my exercising is mainly walking, and yoga type gentle exercises. I plan to take pictures of all my meals, and post my exercises here. I want to continue the chain and motivate someone to do what I am doing!
